In October 2022, Native Instruments released version 7 of Kontakt Player. It comes with a newly designed Browser feature that, while useful for users with several compatible Kontakt libraries, is not designed for legacy libraries like Virtual Drumline 2.5.x.
Fear not! Kontakt 7 is still very similar under the hood and fully supports VDL. It simply involves leaving the new Browser page and accessing your VDL library via the Side Pane (formerly called the Browser in older versions of Kontakt).
